Fort Wayne Wayne High School
Brionna has been active and athletic since childhood. As a young girl, she could often be found racing around the neighborhood with other children. She began running track for Miami Middle School and the Fort Wayne Express Track Club, accomplishing much and winning multiple medals.
Brionna went on to have an outstanding high school career at Wayne High School, surpassing all expectations. She earned numerous accolades, including state titles in the 100 meter and 200 meter IHSAA State Championships in 2012 and 2013. Additionally, Brionna won USATF Junior National Championships in the 100, 200 and 4x100m relay. In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Brionna was inducted into the Wayne High School Athletic Hall of Excellence and Contribution in 2020.
After high school, Brionna competed at Purdue University, where she earned 13 NCAA All-American honors and 16 Big Ten medals over her career. She became a seven-time Big Ten champion, the 2018 Big Ten indoor track athlete of the year, the 2018 Great Lakes Region outdoor track athlete of the year and the 2018 Purdue women’s athlete of the year. Brionna also obtained two Big Ten records and six school records.
Brionna later represented Team USA internationally, earning medals at the NACAC Championships, World Cup Champions and World Relay Championships.
Since retiring from track and field, Brionna has relocated to Houston, Texas, where she is pursuing a career within the field of her degree.
